Ruby Katherine (Mathews) Andrews

Ruby Andrews, 95, wife of the late Grant Lewis Andrews, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013.
A native of Lexington, she was the daughter of the late George Frank Mathews and Allie Patton Mathews. She was also preceded in death by her son William C. Arthur, five brothers and one sister.
She was a homemaker and member of Lexington Baptist Church. She loved and adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandson who all enjoyed spending time with her. Her friends and family were very special to her.
Survivors include her daughter: Bertha Arthur Christy of Lexington; grandchildren: Curtis (Sheila) Arthur, Donna Cofer, Tim (Hollie) Christy, Lacretia (Gary) Guest; great grandsons: Chief Petty Officer William Corry (Stefanie) Arthur, Blake Christy, Lori Arthur and great great grandsons: Bryce Arthur, William Bonner and Brantley Bonner.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2PM at Lexington Baptist Church with Rev. Rod Walls officiating. Burial will follow at Clark Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Wednesday at Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel.
Flowers will be accepted.
