Roy Lamar Kidd

Roy Lamar Kidd, 85, of Athens, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016.
A native of Walton County, GA, he was the son of the late, Roy F. and Ruth Jones Kidd of Hull. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kaye Kidd Moore of Athens; sister, Dorothy Nell Jacobs of Monks Corner, SC.
He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force, After 37 years of employment, he retired from the propane gas business.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016, 2:00pm at Lord & Stephens, East Chapel with Dr. Charles "Buddy" Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday April 20, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include: his wife of 63 years, Betty Bullock Kidd; son, Roy Michael Kidd of Hendersonville, TN; sister, Sue Fields of Hull, GA; Three granddaughters, Jenna Moore Copeland (Roy) of Atlanta, Ellesse Kidd of Gallatin, TN and Haley Downey (Chaz) of Gallatin, TN and One great granddaughter, Ansley Davis and One great grandson, Layton Downey; son in law, R. Douglas Moore (Joni and Andrew) of Thomaston, GA, and a number of nieces and nephews.
