Roy James Hamby

Roy J. Hamby, 65, husband of Susan Cook Hamby, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at his residence. A native of Atlanta, he was the son of the late Clifford and Donnie Hamby. He retired from Delta Airlines after 40 years and served in the US Army. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two step sons, David Corry and John Corry, brother, Jerry Hamby, step grandchildren, Makena, Jackson, Dakota, Skye and Noel, and his beloved dog "Lady". A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Crawford Cemetery, Crawford, Georgia, with Rev. Rooney Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel.
