Roy Michael Allen Sr

Roy Michael Allen Sr., age 54 of Danielsville passed away at Emory University Hospital on Monday, July 25, 2011 following a period of declining health. Mr. Allen was born in Commerce, GA on October 27, 1956 to Roy Henry and Virginia Glisson Allen. Mr. Allen worked for Bi-Lo for a number of years from where he retired, he was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Stephanie Allen, Son and Daughter In Law Michael Jr. and Shannon Allen, Step- Son Brandon Porterfield, and Step- Daughter Ashley Keanum, Sister Robbie McCarty, Brothers Ricky Allen, and Larry Allen, Grandson; Rex Allen, as well as a number of nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 5-8 P.M. with funeral services to be held Thursday, July 28, 2011 from Colbert Baptist Church at 1 P.M. with the Rev. Rick Lewis officiating burial will be held at New Haven Baptist Church, serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Allen, Greg McCarty, Terry Roberts, Andy McCarty, Mike Deaton, and Stanley Arnold.
