Watkinsville - Rossie Carson Brooks, 93, wife of the late Harvey Glenn Brooks, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Family Life Enrichment Center .
Born in Oconee County , Mrs. Brooks was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Nona Smith Brooks and mother to the late Anthony Wade Brooks. She retired from Rogers Hosiery Mill and was a member of Farmington Methodist Church .
Survivors include her children; Michael Glenn (Norma) Brooks of Manning , SC , Robert Fred (Joanna) Brooks of Bishop, GA; sister: Mattie Belle Miller of Bishop; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10AM at the chapel of Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Rev. Tommy Cowart officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Hill Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Friday at the funeral home.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
