Rose Ann (Sweeney) Presley

Rose Ann Sweeney Presley, 73, died Monday, November 28, 2016. Born in Johnstown, PA, raised in Lilly, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Carrie Campagna Sweeney. Rose Ann retired from the Human Resources Department with Gwinnett County and was a member of the UGA Catholic Center. She volunteered at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Mrs. Presley adored and loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Survivors include her husband, James Paul "Jim" Presley, Bishop, GA; children: Paul (Lindy) Tickerhoof of Appling, GA. Shelley (Alastair) Dunnett of White Heath, IL, Kristina (Rick) Hodges of Watkinsville, GA, James (Jennifer) Presley, of Jefferson, GA; brother: Francis (Pat) Sweeney of Gaithersburg, MD; grandchildren: Tessa, Tory, Morgan, Leah, Jake, Evan, Lauren, Trace, Kaylin and Ellis and four great grandchildren: Hudson, Harrison, Rowan and Jack. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10AM at the UGA Catholic Center. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Lord & Stephens West Chapel.
