Rosalyn Perkins Alke

March 28, 1947 — July 9, 2015

Rosalyn Perkins Alke of Oconee County died July 9th. She is survived by her husband, Major Frederick C. Alke, USMC (Ret), a daughter Laura Pafford and a son-in-law Keith Pafford of Jupiter Florida. She is also survived by one sister Joanne Swanson and a brother-in-law Dr. David Swanson, and by beloved cousins and aunts.

Rosalyn graduated from Georgia Southern College in 1969 and lived for 16 years in various locations across the country according to her husband's military assignments. While living in this area, she worked at the UGA Science Library, the Oconee County Primary School, and the Oconee County Library. She was originally from Stillmore, GA. (Emanuel County)

Visitation will be held Monday, July 13th, from 6-7 pm at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home West Location. A funeral service will be held there the following morning, July 14th at 10:30 am at Lord & Stephens West Chapel. Graveside services will be held in Stillmore City Cemetery July 14th at 4 pm, and conducted by a cousin, Cheryl Johnson. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

Floral arrangements would be appreciated by the family as would contributions to the ALS Association.
