Ronnie Douglas Wheeler

Ronnie Douglas “Coot” Wheeler, 74, of Winterville passed away on December 25, 2022. Born on April 4, 1948, in Oconee County, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Thomas Wheeler and Alma Milligan Wheeler.

Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed for a number of years as a HVAC Technician and Maintenance Specialist for Clarke County Schools, Stiles Heating and Air, and various apartment complexes. He enjoyed time visiting with his family, sharing a unique spin on life and politics, sitting outside listening to music, following his beloved Georgia Bulldogs, and following most any form of car racing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Floyd Wheeler, Ruth Mitchell, and Gene Wheeler, as well his daughter, Sherrie Wheeler.

Survivors include his son, Greg Wheeler; grandchildren, Selah Wheeler, Phoebe Wheeler, Jordan Sloan, Lindsay Wheeler; siblings, Ann Pass (Don), David Wheeler (Ann), many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
