Ronald Shedd

Ronald Lee Shedd, 76, entered the presence of His Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 29, 2017 following a short, hard-fought battle with lung cancer. Ronald is survived by his loving bride of 59 years, Nell Sosebee Shedd. His children: sons Keith (Kim Fendya) Shedd of Acworth, Dale (Paree) Shedd of Athens, and daughter Karen (Mike) Nunn of Athens. Four grandchildren: Parissa and Peyton Shedd, Christopher and Georgia Nunn, all of Athens. Ronald worked extremely hard his entire life from when he was a child until he retired to care for his wife. Ronald was a paint contractor by trade, who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Ronald enjoyed hunting, being outside, joking with all in his path, and was always there to lend a helping hand to family members or neighbors in any way he could. Ronald loved spending time attending his grandchildren's activities, including sports and other events. If you knew Ronald, you knew about his four grandchildren whom he loved dearly with all his heart. Your grin is with us forever! A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Athens Memory Gardens, 5195 Lexington Highway, Athens with Kevin "Chappy" Hynes officiating. Funeral services provided for by Lord & Stephens East Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or Prince Avenue Christian School in memory of Ronald Shedd.
