Roland Arrowood

Pastor Roland Arrowood, 82, husband of 62 years to Sandra Jackson Arrowood, died on Monday, January 15, 2024. Born in Rutherfordton, NC, he was the son of the late Merriel Wilson Arrowood, Sr and Katie Lee Blankenship Arrowood. Pastor Arrowood had been in the ministry for 62 years having served various churches. He founded New Beginning Family Worship Center 20 years ago and was still serving as pastor until health did not allow.  Survivors in addition to his wife include two children: Doy (Sherry) Arrowood and Todd (Donna) Arrowood; sisters: Willie Faye (Roy) Pritchard and Nora (Marvin-deceased) Pritchard; brothers: Merriel Wilson (Mildred) Arrowood, Jr. and Alton (Judy) Arrowood; five grandchildren: Christy, Courtney, Kayla, Josh and Jennifer and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2PM at New Beginning Family Worship Center, Danielsville, GA with Pastors Scotty Poole, Rick Lewis and Raymond Gunn officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Andrew Clark, Josh Davis, John Mulligan, Tommy Blackstock, Walt Hall and Steve Powers.
