Robert "Bob" Michael Hroma

Robert Michael “Bob” Hroma, 80, of Arnoldsville, Ga, passed away at his home on October 11, 2021 due to prostate cancer.

He was born in Chicago, IL and was the son of the late Michael Hroma and the late Theressa Joan Molchan Hroma. He married Margaret “Peggy” Hroma on July 20, 1963. The couple were married for 58 years. He worked at various meat departments including Publix Supermarkets, for 19 years, and later the Piggly-Wiggly, Ingles and Bells Supermarket part time. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting and operating his business of 10 years, BH Deer Processing.

Survivors include his wife Margaret “Peggy” Barker Hroma of Arnoldsville, GA; daughter, Laura Marie Hroma Wills of Athens, GA; son Jonathan Robert Hroma (Belinda) of Palm Springs, FL; grandchildren, Zachary and Samantha Hroma of Winder, GA, Melissa Wills of Cochran, GA, Dakota and Garret Cox of Social Circle, GA; great-grandson, Easton Wade Cox; brother, Jeffery Hroma of Royal Palm Beach, FL; sister, Andrea Coombs of Phrump, NV.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Patrick M. Hroma; sister, Joan Hroma Forten.

A vigil & rosary will begin on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 4:30 pm with a visitation to follow from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Josephs Catholic Church with interment to follow at Arnoldsville Cemetery.
