Roberta Burns

July 27, 1936 — February 8, 2025

Roberta Catherine Burns passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones February 8th, 2025 in Danielsville, GA. She is survived by her children, April O’dell, Leslie Trumpower Brown and Aaron Michael Burns, her grandchildren Mandi Curr, April Boughton, Cearra Correa, and Parker Trumpower, great grandchildren Melina Carcamo, Niko Carcamo, Carlee Boughton, Breanna Boughton and Allie Boughton and her brothers Robert Myers and John Myers. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert E Myers and Catherine E Myers and sister Jeanne Harborough and son Fredric K Trumpower II.

Roberta was born in Hagerstown, MD on July 27th, 1936, second of four children. After graduating high school she became a dental assistant and married Fredric K Trumpower. Here they had their first 2 children, Fredric and April. Following her husbands career they moved to Brigham City, Utah where she had her third child, Leslie. During this time she was a working mother and was an executive Secretary for the Toledo Scale Co.

The family finally settled in beautiful San Diego, California where sadly, this marriage ended. Being the smart and savvy women she was, Roberta was hired with Pacific Southwest Airlines. During this time she married a second time shortly to Ronald L Burns and had her 4th child, Aaron. Working for the airliner enabled her to travel abroad and be a successful single parent.

She was a devout Jehovah’s Witness who spent many years in the Clairemont and Ramona congregations. “Bobbi” (as her closest friends called her) was loved and remembered for her lovely singing voice by many. She will also be remembered for her quick wit and great sense of humor. All who knew her remember her beautiful smile and hearty laughter.

Roberta's final years were spent under the loving care of her daughter Leslie in tranquil, beautiful Georgia. Roberta’s final days were full of love, joy and peace. Her gratitude and happiness were remarkable even in her last days. She will be dearly missed by many and never forgotten.

Special thanks to her sister-in-law Gina Vigil, daughter-in-law Joanne Firks, Dave Firks and Pruitt Hospice for their support and care during her last days

Lord and Stephens DANIELSVILLE has been entrusted with Georgia arrangements.
