Watkinsville - Robert Joseph Wright, 60, husband of Donna Bishop Wright, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 12, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Rome , GA , he was the son of the late Arthur and Maude Lacey Wright and brother to the late Fred Wright. Bob was a graduate of the University of Georgia Law School in 1983 receiving the honor of Order Of The Coif. He was an attorney, having privately practiced in Covington and in Elberton with Group Underwriters Incorporated. For the last ten years he was a legal consultant with Athens Area Health Plan Select. He was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church and member of the Masonic Lodge #99 in Snellville.
Survivors in addition to his wife include daughters, Laura Wright of Watkinsville, Cynthia Wright (Matthew) Wilbur of Athens, brother, James (Barbara) Wright of San Antonio, TX, sisters, Gloria Wright (Gary) Scott of Nashville, TN, Margaret Wright Johnston of Macon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Revs. Bill Ricketts and Jerry Haas officiating. Burial will follow at 4PM at East View Cemetery , Rome , GA.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday, November 15, 2010 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church , Missions Fund, 3691 Monroe Highway , Watkinsville , GA 30677 .
