Robert Watson Sanders

Robert Watson Sanders, age 99, of Macon, husband of the late Bonnie Lawrence Sanders, died on Sunday, December 9, 2012.
A native of Danielsville, he was the son of the late Robert Toombs and Ora Lee Scogin Sanders. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, and retired from the Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, where he worked in aircraft maintenance.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Cleo B. Sanders, Hoil L. Christian, Gilbert T. Sanders, Thomas R. Sanders, Neal C. Sanders, and James Q. Sanders.
Survivors include his niece, Sheila Wright; great-nephew, Travis Wright; sister, Bonnie S. Huggins; and sisters-in-law, Mary Sanders and Helen Sanders.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday, December 14, at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, at the Colbert Cemetery.
