Watkinsville - Robert Lamar Tedder, 82, died Thursday, December 21, 2006.
Born in Early County, Georgia on December 5, 1924, Bob was the son of the late E.E. and Belle Kaigler Tedder. He was a resident of Albany, Georgia for 65 years and retired from the Albany Beverage Company. He recently moved to Watkinsville, Georgia. Bob served his country for six years in the US Navy on the LST 839 during WWII and aboard the Destroyer Tender USS Piedmont during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Delle Watson Tedder; daughters: Darlene and husband Herbert J. Adams of Watkinsville, Dianne Tedder of Cumming, GA, Lisa T. Johnson of Watkinsville; son, Bobby E. and wife Rhonda Tedder of Leesburg, GA; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren; sister, Mary Belle Williams of Blakely, GA; brother, Harry K. Tedder of Jacksonville, FL.
Graveside services will be held 2PM, Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Charles Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel, Tuesday, December 26, 2006.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Maryís Hospice or the Mars Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
