Robert Pyle

Robert Turton Pyle, 90, husband of 66 years to Betty (Johnston) Pyle, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Athens, GA. Born in Monessen, PA, he was the son of the late William Samuel Pyle and Ruth (Turton) Pyle. He served in the Army during WW II and was an engineer having worked at US Geological Survey, US Pollution Control and US Steel. He received his Degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Pittsburg. He is survived by his wife Betty; children: Bob Pyle (wife Donna) of Lawrenceville, GA, Sandy Pyle of Athens, GA; Sally Jo Pyle of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Chelsea Tiffany, Jamie Pyle and Ben Pyle; great grandson: Austin Pyle; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held on June 6, 2017.
