Robert Raymond Peecher, Sr.

Robert Raymond Peecher, Sr., 81, of Athens died on Monday, September 12, 2022.

The son of Raymond Ellsworth Peecher and Lillian Gillings Peecher, Bob was raised in Illinois and moved to the Athens area in 1975 and made Georgia his home. Bob loved his country and served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially gardening and woodworking. He retired as plant manager from Reliance Electric and then worked another 20 years as facilities manager for Faith Presbyterian Church, where he was a member. Bob considered working for the church to be a ministry. He cared deeply for his church family, his friends, and his wife, children, and grandchildren. Above all, he loved the Lord.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Al Peecher.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Daunt Allison Peecher; two sons: Daniel Roy Peecher (Kitty) and Rob Peecher (Jean); grandchildren: Ali, Emily, Harrison (Amelia), Nathan, and Robert; and numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 18 at Faith Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m.
