Robert Evans Palmer

Robert Evans Palmer, 86, husband of Betty Ann Palmer, died Saturday, April 28, 2012.
A native of Hamlet, NC, he was the son of the late Reece and Gladys Allgood Bradley. Mr. Palmer served his country in the US Army, retired from Athens Lincoln Mercury as a mechanic and was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Mike Palmer of Hull, George "Butch" Palmer of Crawford, Connie Tyler of Stockbridge, Larry Bodiford of Athens, Jill Coker of Watkinsville, Ken Bodiford of Royston; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 2PM at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Buford Lockman and Rev. Matthew Tyler officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, April 30, 2012 at Lord & Stephens West Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Whitehall Baptist Church.
Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements.
