Robert Edward Mosby

Robert Edward (Bob) Mosby III, a resident of Gainesville, Ga., died on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at the age of 92 in Athens, Ga.
The son of Robert Edward Mosby Jr. and Laura Gates Mosby, he was born in Memphis, Tenn., Feb. 25, 1922. A World War II veteran, he married Alyce Catherine Spicer from Illinois about 1947 and had three children: Charles Andrew Mosby, living outside Athens, GA, David Edwin Mosby living in Kalispell, MT and Linda Gail Mosby living in Athens, GA. During this time he lived in Memphis and Nashville, TN, Durham and Eatonton, NC, and settled in Tucker, GA a suburb of Atlanta.
After a divorce he moved to Gainesville, GA around 1975 and had a short marriage to Melinda who died of cancer not long after. He then married Pamela June Ross of Sydney, Australia who died in 2009. He volunteered for many organizations, most notably 50 years with Boy Scouts. His passions were camping and photography. He had an impact on all who knew him
An informal funeral-open house will be held from 2PM until 5PM, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at New Haven Church, 615 White Sulphur Road, Ganiesville, GA. Lord and Stephens, East is in charge of arrangements.
