Robert Loran "Humin" McElroy

Robert "Mac" Loran (a.k.a. "Humin'") McElroy, age 81, of Athens, passed away on August 26, 2013.
Mac was one of 12 children born to Johnny and Ellie Collins McElroy. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis McElroy.
Survivors include his children, Debora Hall, Bobby (Pam) McElroy, Robin McElroy, and Kim Hayes; sisters, Ruth Pace, Gloria McElroy, and Frances McElroy; brother, Rufus McElroy; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nephew, Billy (Teresa) McElroy; and special friend, Mary McKie.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, at Moons Grove Baptist Church, with the Revs. Roger Loggins and Howard Conine officiating. Burial will follow at the Moons Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
