Athens - Robert Bruce Loving, age 77, son of John Hudson and Lattie Meador Loving, born on November 4, 1930, died on March 11, 2008. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bruce was recently preceded in death by daughter of 49 years, Faith Loving Ledford.
A veteran of the Korean War and retired as vice-president of a telecommunications company, Bruce loved cooking, reading, watching boxing and football, the outdoors, and, especially, his family.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Leonie (Lee) Jubin Loving, daughters Davilyn Loving Rainwater (husband Bob), Hollis Loving Hinsch (husband Steven), Courtney Loving (husband Steve Purcell); granddaughters Morgan Rainwater, Hollis Rainwater, Kristen Walton (husband Sean), Madeline Loving; grandsons Austen Ledford, Steven Purcell (wife Becca), Chrismon Hinsch, Wyatt Purcell; and great-grandson Derek Walton.
A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's Anglican Church on Monday, March 17, 2008, at 2:00PM with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
