Robert "Bob" G. Frantz, 84, died March 31, 2016.
Born July 17, 1931, in West Chaleroi, PA, Bob was a son of the late William E. and Adele P. Frantz. He attended University of Alabama, graduated from Jacksonville State University and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Bob owned and operated Oconee Hardware for many years. He was the first President of the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce and was a longstanding member of the Friendship Presbyterian Church.
Memorial services will be Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Presbyterian Church with The Reverend Tara W. Bulger officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy P. Frantz; sons, Robert Scott (Mary) Frantz and their children, Courtney Frantz, Bobby Frantz and Maggie Frantz; Gary Alan (Shari) Frantz, and their children, Kaylee Frantz, Kole Frantz and Kannon Frantz; John Steven (Joanne) Frantz, and their children, Leah Frantz and Sara Frantz; a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friendship Presbyterian Church. 8531 Macon Highway Athens GA 30606.
