Robert Kelly Bridges Sr

Robert Kelly "Bob" Bridges, Sr., 81, husband of Evelyn Bridges, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
Born in Lexington, he was the son of the late Walter Leonard Bridges and Meta Montine Patton Bridges. He served in the US Army, he worked in the Space Program with McDonell Aircraft as a technician, Rockwell North American as a quality controller and later retired from Reliance Electric after 25 years as a Technician and Quality Controller. He was a member of Stephens Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Callaway Bridges, survivors include three children: Charles Bridges of Sandy Cross Community, Robert Kelly Bridges, Jr. of Arnoldsville, Angela (Doug) Duncan of Lawrenceville; brother: James Larry Bridges of Lawrenceville, sister in law and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Derek Paul officiating. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8, Friday, February 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Neighborhood Gospel Mission, Camp Bethesda, 602 Bethesda Church Road, Lexington, GA 30648.
