Robert Allen Smith, 77, died Sunday, December 11, 2011.
A native and life long resident of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Cammie and Carrie Venable Smith. He retired from the US Air Force. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughters: Pam Polk and Ann Gibson.
Survivors include his daughter: Sandy Boring; son: Calvin Smith; grandchildren: Heath, Steven, Jessica, Callie, Caleb, Savannah, Hunter and Bruce and two great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 2PM at Colbert Cemetery with Rev. Lester Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday, December 12, 2011 at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
