Robert Alexander Skelton, Jr.

Robert Alexander (Rob) Skelton, Jr, age 54, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020. He was the son of the late Robert A. Skelton Sr and the late Gypsy Rose Haygood Skelton. Mr Skelton was born on February 22, 1965 in Macon, Ga.

He graduated from Central High School in 1983. He worked at Mercer University in Physical Plant for a while and moved to Atlanta working for Ga Tech in their  Physical Plant. He then worked for  a friend who is an attorney.  Rob was always fun to be around and you could count on him to be the life of the party. He did face some demons but was winning that battle in the end.

Rob is survived by his wonderful daughter and son-in-law,  Whitney and Beau Dempsey, two beautiful granddaughters, Carter Rose and Adalynn May of Cape Hatteras NC, two sisters,  Ann (Bill) Spencer of Athens, Shari Skelton English (Ricky) of Tennill, a nephew, Christopher Spencer (Season) of Athens and a niece, Kimberly Spencer of Athens.
His second adopted family Ed and Vickie Segraves of Atlanta, daughter Melanie (his little sister) and her son Hendrick. Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins.
