Rita Finger Salisbury



Rita Finger Salisbury a native of Athens Georgia died peacefully on February 15th at home in Bluefield WV after a long illness surrounded by her dogs with Santa the yorkie laying on her chest.

She had a youthful spirit, a joy of living, and was quick to laugh. She was a lifelong diehard UGA bulldog fan and you could always hear her shouting “How ‘bout them Dawgs” during games.

She was preceded in death by her mother Carlene Anderson Finger, her father George W. Finger Jr., and her brother George Finger III.

She is survived by her best friend and roommate Milly Vidot, her brother Ray Finger (Carol), sister-in-law (more like a sister) Dianne Finger, niece Lindsie Finger Moore (Kirk) nephews Jeff Finger (Holly) and Tyler Finger (Mallory). Great nieces Lucie, Mollie, Thea, and great nephews Sloan and Laken.

There will be a celebration of life to be held at Lord and Stephens East in Athens Georgia Monday, February 26th, 6-8 pm.
