Ricky Darryl Gabriel

Ricky Darryl Gabriel, 70, of Crawford, was welcomed into his eternal home in Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

A lifelong resident of Crawford, Rick was born on April 27, 1952 to the late James Crawford Gabriel and Lois Williams Gabriel. He was of the Baptist faith.

Ricky was a hardworking, optimistic man who loved his family and enjoyed life to its fullest. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by his family and his community.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas Gabriel and Dale Poulnott, along with sisters-in-law Cathy (Doyle) Gabriel and Peggy (Dale) Poulnott.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Shirley “Sam” Alexander Gabriel; sons Ricky Todd (Vicky) Gabriel and James Richard Gabriel; daughter Michelle Minish (Josiah) Henneberger; grandson Jake Gabriel; granddaughters Nicole Minish, Johnnie (Kory) Lott, and Jasmine Henneberger; one great-granddaughter Pressley Lott; brothers George (Wilma) Gabriel, Doyle Gabriel, Danny (Crystal) Gabriel, and Terry (Heidi) Gabriel; sisters Geneva (Oliver) Stamey and Teresa (David) Yonce; sister-in-law Susan (Douglas) Gabriel; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 18 at Lord and Stephens, East Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Derek Paul officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
