Richard C. McElhannon

Richard C. McElhannon, 64, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

A lifelong resident of Athens, he was a son of the late Carlton Jackson McElhannon and Lillian Erwin McElhannon. Ricky was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and he loved to cook and grill. Above all else, he loved his family and was a friend to anyone he encountered.

Survivors include his siblings, Randy and Deborah McElhannon; nieces and nephews, Chad and Megan McElhannon, Shelby Drew and Natalie Miller.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 am at Lord and Stephens, East. Interment will follow in the Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
