Richard Clarence Hindt, age 76, of Athens, Georgia, passed away at his home on November 12, 2017.
Richard, known as "Rich" by his family and "Dick" to his friends, was born on July 9, 1941 in Adrian, MN to Raymond and Jeanetta Hindt. He grew up on a farm in Worthington, MN, along with his brother and six sisters. He graduated from Worthington High School, and furthered his education at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, MN with a degree in welding. He also attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN.
While attending Woodcrest Baptist Church, he met Barbara Wilder and they were united in marriage on January 23, 1965. This marriage was blessed with five children: Brian, Callie, Blair, Brad and Barry.
His favorite times were spent with family and friends playing pool, golf, fishing, camping, playing games, joking around, waterskiing, boating, making furniture, woodworking, and being an all around handyman ("There are a few things I cannot do" was his business card slogan). He will for sure be missed by all of us.
Richard is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Barbara, his children: Brian (Patricia) Hindt, Callie (Brad) Pemberton, Blair Hindt, Brad (Christine) Hindt, Barry (Denise) Hindt, 24 grandchildren, 4 sisters, many nieces and nephews, and many friends.
