Bogart - Richard Hansford, 77, husband of Katherine Tucker Hansford, died Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Madison County but lived most of his life in Oconee County. He was the son of the late Kurnal and Ada Lou Looney Hansford. He was a member of Ross Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Children; Willie J. Hansford, Richard Leonard Hansford, James Christopher Hansford, Thelma Mae Craft and Glenda Ruth Harbert, sister, Gertrude Chastain, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 3PM at Oconee Chapel with Rev. Curtis Hammond officiating. Burial will be held at Oconee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Leonard Hansford, Chris Hansford, Richard Youngblood, Tony Moon, Brad Hansford and Shaun Connelly.
Flowers will be accepted.
