Richard Allan "Dick" George

Richard (Dick) Allan George passed away July 28, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents Garfield and Margaret George. Richard loved fishing, bowling and was a member of a barbershop group competing in singing competitions. He worked for C. G. Conn in Elkhart, Indiana and retired from the Gwinnett Daily News.
Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years Bernice of Winterville, GA; daughter and son in law Kimberly and Kenneth Fowler of Winterville, GA; a brother Barry married to Dolores (Ponchek) of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; a sister Patricia married to Ronald Skrodinsky of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren Ben Fowler and Emily Fowler of Winterville.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. There will be a private graveside at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gentiva Hospice Foundation, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Athens, GA Building Fund.
