Richard Taylor Black, 80, died December 26, 2005.
A native of Lawrence County, AL, he was a son of the late Bertha Irene Burks and Silas McKinley Black. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and United States Army and was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at 11:00AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Revs. Bill Ricketts and Bill Carpenter will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Joyce Black; 2 stepsons, David Michael Post of Panama City, FL and Herbert Lamar Post of Bogart, GA; two sisters, Magdalene Powell and Martha Puckett, both of Decatur, AL; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
