Rev. Dalton Carrington

Rev. Claude "Dalton" Carrington, 91, a longtime resident of Madison County, GA, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014. He served for 35 years in active Baptist ministry in Georgia, North and South Carolina, and 12 years in interim service in the Madison County area.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, 963 Hwy 98 East, Danielsville, GA, 30633 (706-795-5116). The funeral will be Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at 1:00 pm at Meadow Baptist Church, Hwy 191, Comer, GA, 30629 (706-783-5690) with interment to follow in the Meadow Cemetery.
Rev. Carrington was preceded in death by his parents Hollis and Myrtie Huff Carrington; his first wife and mother of his children, Helen Compton Carrington; brother, Aubrey Carrington, and sister, Sybil Carrington Kidd.
Rev. Carrington is survived by his wife, Barbara Nelms Brown Carrington; two daughters, Sharon Carrington, GA, and Judy Perrin (Wayne) and granddaughter Dawn Johnson (Brad), SC; Barbara's children Dennis Brown (Judy), FL, Paulette Crile (Phil), AL, and Pat Brickman (Bernie), IN.
Special appreciation is extended to Hampton House Personal Care Home and staff, Compassionate Care Hospice, and private care givers Rhonda Graham, Angela Eaves, Alisha Allen, Danna Liggins, Mahalia Taylor, Therese Martin, and Katherine Stowe.
