In Loving Memory of Rev. Benjamin F. Coggins, Sr.
Benjamin F. Coggins, Sr. a beloved minister, devoted family man, and a true servant of God, passed away on October 1, 2023. With a heart filled with love and a spirit of selflessness, he touched countless lives during his remarkable journey of faith.
Born September 10, 1942, Benjamin F. Coggins, Sr. began his noble path by serving in the Navy, where he showcased his patriotic devotion to his country. However, it was his unwavering faith that led him to become an evangelist in Puerto Rico. His commitment to spreading God's word and winning souls for the kingdom of God was truly inspiring.
He later settled in GA, where he became a Pastor and a devoted member of the Congregational of Holiness Church. He faithfully shepherded his congregation, guiding them with his wisdom, compassion, and unwavering faith. His sermons resonated deeply with all those who had the privilege of hearing them.
Beyond his ministry, he had an immense love for his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, and his presence brought joy and warmth to the family. His selflessness and love knew no bounds, as he poured everything he had into the lives of those around him.
With his infectious smile, kind heart, and compassionate soul, Benjamin F. Coggins, Sr. left a legacy of love, faith, and service. He will be deeply missed by his family, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
Benjamin F. Coggins, Sr. Is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Tula Fortunda Coggins, parents Hoke & Laura Coggins, brothers Travis &. Donald Ray Coggins, and sisters Imogene Dixon and Maggie Gilbert. He is survived by his sons Bobby Coggins(wife Tammy), Kenny Coggins (wife Emma), and grandchildren Kristen Heaton (Husband Cody) Brett, Brandon, Lauren, Darrell, Benjamin, and Anna Coggins. Along with 6 bonus grandchildren and one bonus great-grandchild.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Benjamin F. Coggins Sr. will be held at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home on October 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM in Danielsville, GA. The family will hold a visitation on Saturday, October 7th from 6 PM to 8 PM.
