Reuben Joshua Jackson

Rev. Reuben Joshua Jackson, 95, husband of 74 years to Bessie Padgett Jackson, died Friday, May 25, 2012.
A native of Edgefield, SC, he was the son of the late Reuben Jasper and Carrie Turner Jackson. He was a member of Rutherfordton Congregational Holiness Church and served as a minister and missionary for the Congregational Holiness Conference for 74 years. During his time as a minister he served in seven churches across, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Texas and as a missionary he and his wife served for 17 years.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a son and daughter in law: Reuben Joshua Jackson, Jr. and Mary Jean of Edgefield, SC; daughter: Sandra Indera Arrowood and Roland of Colbert; four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1PM at New Beginning Family Worship Center with Rev. Roland Arrowood, Rev. Donna Arrowood and Rev. Daisy Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemtery, Edgefield, SC at 5PM. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Saturday at the funeral home.
