Renee Bailey

Renee Leigh Bailey, 54, of Athens, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of Bill and Barbara Harper Whitehead. Mrs. Bailey loved art and painting, dancing and gardening with her grandson, Ayden. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with the Outback Riders of Athens. She was very humorous, and loved to make people laugh.
In addition to her parents and grandson, survivors include her friend and longtime companion, Jim McLeroy; one daughter, Amanda Bailey; one brother, Scott Whitehead; and one sister, Cindy Whitehead-Suhl.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 3 PM at Lord and Stephens, East. Interment will follow at the Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted.
