Reily Vincent Carnes, Sr.

Reily Vincent Carnes, Sr., 89, husband of the late Barbara Suttles Carnes, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

Born in Hartwell, GA he was the son of the late Levis Gartell Carnes and Laura Grant Carnes.  In addition to his wife and parents, R.V. was preceded in death by his sisters: Sadie Anthony, Sara Mae Byrum, Patsy Martin, Willie Myrt Whitaker, Stella Holland; brothers: Gartrell Carnes, Edger Carnes, T.J. Carnes, Denver Carnes and Little Brother Carnes

Mr. Carnes retired from AT&T/Western Union and had served in the US Army. He was a faithful member of the Bluestone Baptist Church, Danielsville, GA.

Survivors include his three children: Sharon Arrington, of Macon, Renae Carnes of the home, Reily Vincent Carnes, Jr. of Jefferson: brothers: Charles Carnes of Washington, GA, Johnny Carnes of Hartwell and sister: Jackie White of Hartwell; three grandchildren; Lori Mcmullan, Marie Bray and Nicole Carnes, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 2PM at Evergreen Memorial Park. There will be a viewing at Lord and Stephens West on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
