Reese James Lee

Reese James Lee, 92, of Jefferson, passed away on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024.

A native of Athens, Georgia, Reese was the son of the late Guy and Lula Lee. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Betty Ann Lee, and siblings Jewell Lee, Edward Lee, Reba Lee Epps, Shirley Lee Bond, Cloyce Lee, and Gladys Lee.

Reese served in the United States Army, then worked at Westinghouse Electric Company until his retirement after 36 years. He loved watching cartoons, making his famous Christmas barbecue, and most of all, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Reese is survived by his sons: Mike (Melanie) Lee; Kenneth (Kim) Lee; Andy (Julie) Lee; daughter: Sandra Lee; grandchildren: Justin (Linsey) Lee; Todd Lee; Mitchell (Kimberly) Lee; Jordan (Jessica) Lee; Courtney Medders; Benjamin (Brittany) Bankston; and Carolynn Lee; great-grandchildren: Cora Lee, Ella Lee, Sawyer Lee, Lillian James Lee, and Bentley Bankston; and his brothers, William Lee and Ronald (Jeannie) Lee.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 5th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends before the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Lord and Stephens East.
