Rebecca Marie Young

Rebecca Marie Young, age 67, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 27, 1957, to the late Margaret Hanley and Roy Bailey in Atlanta, GA.

In her free time, Rebecca enjoyed relaxing with a good James Patterson mystery book, puzzles, occasionally escaping to the mountains, and spending time with her beautiful family. She loved Elvis Presley. The song, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” held a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her daughter, Amber Young (Josh); Stepmother, Peggy Bailey; Mother-in-law, Emma Burrell; Aunt, Phyllis Sigers; Brothers, Terry Bailey (Kathy), Greg Bailey (Connie), and Bill Bailey (Stacie); Several nieces and nephews; as well as her fur babies Chewy, Leia, and Ginger.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Young; and her stepfather Wallace Hanley.

Rest in peace, Rebecca. You will forever remain in our hearts.
