Rebecca Annette Smith

Rebecca "Becky" Annette Smith, age 67, passed away on January 9, 2014. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Emerson B. & Sara B. Smith, Jr.
Becky was a member of Bogart United Methodist Church and a 1964 graduate of Athens High School. She had worked for Magnolia United Oil Industries, the Materials Department at St. Mary's Hospital, Snelling & Snelling Staffing, and Carter Appraisal Services. Becky was the Past President of the Classic City Pilot Club, and was active in the Home Builders Association, Athens Chamber of Commerce, and Athens Area Association of Realtors.
Survivors include her sisters, Donna Gail Smith Lancaster of Lawrenceville, GA and Sara Smith (James) McNamara of Statham, GA; brother, Emerson Charles (Deanne) Smith of Bishop, GA; three uncles; five aunts; many cousins; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and one great-grand niece.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8PM on Saturday, January 11 and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
