Born in Franklin County, she was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, Marble Hill, GA.
Funeral services will be Sunday, April 13, 2008, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Worship Center with Revs. Dennis Kesler and Cliff Barnes officiating. Interment will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, J.O. Phillips, 87, of Danielsville; children, Duane Kelly Phillips (Janice) of Danielsville and Alden Blair Phillips (Lorey) of Colbert; stepdaughters, Susan Dillard and Sandra Jeffer of Hull; sisters, Edna Lacey of Augusta, Agnes Richey, Betty Biles of Texas and Mary Scarborough of Danielsville; brothers, Melvin Martin of Cornelia, Robert Martin of VA, Verner Martin of Statham, William Floyd of Pennsylvania and Buddy Floyd of Danielsville; grandchildren, Colby Phillips and Tyler Phillips of Danielsville, Kayla Phillips of Colbert, Melanie Berryman of Danielsville, Chad Dillard of Hull and Matthew McCall of Iraq; 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m..
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corinth Baptist Church, c/o Jerry Brooks, 239 Sutalee Place, White, GA 30184.
