Raymond W Smith

Raymond W. Smith, 90, born in Athens, passed away at home on Monday, May 15th surrounded by his loving family. He proudly served his country in both the US Navy and Marines and was retired from the Athens Police Department and Ingle's.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Martha Smith; Brothers James, Luther, Eugene, Calvin; sister, Frances Barrett.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Joan Smith; daughters, Sandy (Carl) Wyers and Bonny (Steve) Brooks; son, Raymond (Jackie) Smith; grandchildren, Charlie, Steve and Carla of Florida and Josh and Ashley of Athens; Two great granddaughters, Devin and Aireyanna of Athens.
A Private family memorial will be held at a later date.
