Raymond Thomas Hunter Sr

Raymond Thomas Hunter Sr. 88, of Auburn GA died Tuesday, May 06, 2014. Born in Indianapolis IN to the late John Thomas and Della Mae Bowman Hunter, Raymond served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. He was a decorated World War II veteran that served in several major campaigns He was also a 50+ year Mason and served as mayor of Auburn from 1992-1995.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by daughters, Linda Fuller and Lynne Owen. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Hunter, children Raymond Thomas Hunter Jr. (Pam) and Lisa Phillips, son-in-laws Alan Fuller and William Owen, grandchildren Kimberly McLees (David) , Scott Owen (Lisa), Chuck Dalton (Jennifer), Tracy Sandlin, Megan Jones (Maurice), Raymond Thomas Hunter III (Ellen), Brandon Phillips, Austin Phillips, Brianna Phillips, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at The Cross 3275 Tig Knight Road Loganville GA 30052.
