Ray O'Kelley

Danielsville, GA - Ray Neal O'Kelley, 71, passed away on June 29, 2007 at his home after a short illness with cancer. Born February 25, 1936, he was a lifetime resident of Madison County. He retired from Overhead Door Company after 32 years and was of the Christian faith. He was the son of the late Henry Grady & Clara Thomas O'Kelley. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Barrett O'Kelley, brothers Huell Brand O'Kelley and Ralph Thomas O'Kelley.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Rice O'Kelley, daughter and son in law, Melodi & Eddie Bennett, Athens. Son, Michael Neal O'Kelley, Decatur. Sister, Mary Lou Pearson, Conyers; Stepdaughters and spouses, Elaine & Doug Hall and Jennifer & Greg Carnes, Hartwell. Stepson, Ron Perry, Royston. Granddaughter, Hannah & Josh Cape and great granddaughter, Madison Cape. Four step-grandchildren, Christopher Milford, Snow Eaton, Luke Carnes and Ava Carnes, all of Hartwell.
Services will be held Monday, July 2, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Chapel, Danielsville with Rev. Ray Austin officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Joe Arnold, Jack Smith, Robert O'Kelley, Ronnie Kittle, David Thompson, and Ricky Pruitt.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 1, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Lord & Stephens, Danielsville.
