Athens, GA - Raymond Clyde Carlson, 70, died December 9, 2006.
A native of Troy, NH, he was the son of Jeannette Carlson of West Swanzey, NH and the late Raymond O. Carlson and was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Carlson.
Mr. Carlson was a graduate of Keene State College and served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a retired juvenile probation officer with the State of Georgia. Mr. Carlson was a past member of BPOE and Moose.
Memorial services will be Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with Rev. Mike Ricks officiating. His ashes will be scattered at Mt. Monadnock, NH.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Barbara Carlson; children, Christie (Ryan) Kidd of Sevierville, TN, Craig (Marian) Carlson of North Hampton, NH, Michael (Mary) Trubey of Watkinsville and Scott Trubey of Athens; sister, Nancy Carlson of West Swanzey, NH; grandchildren, Colin and Kelly Carlson and Christopher and Elise Trubey; nephew, Eric (Mary) Stanley and great nieces, Hannah and Olivia Stanley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Georgia Foundation, Machemehl Scholarship Fund, 124 Old College, Athens, GA 30602. This scholarship benefits the survivors of Leukemia and bone marrow cancer.
The family will receive friends at their residence following the service.
