Ramona Ilse Kloss was born December 16th 1960 in Bamberg, Germany to Heidi Marie Rothe (Kloss) where she spent the formative years of her life up until age 5 there until she and her mother emigrated to the United States with her dad Command Sergeant Major David Kloss (retired). She learned English quickly but was always proud of her German upbringing and continued speaking German when she would visit German stores and restaurants. Since her father was in the Army Ramona and her younger sisters, Michele and Deborah moved all over the states which gave Ramona a very rounded view of all walks of life. In school Ramona enjoyed bowling and swimming and making friends. Once graduated from high school in Pennsylvania Ramona later gave birth to her first born son Michael Joseph in 1979. Jennifer Lynn came in 1984 and Ramona got certified to become a monitor tech and unit secretary in the medical field and took a job at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. Roots were set there, because in 1992 and 1993 Ramona had Trisha Marlene and Shanon Nichole at that very hospital. In 2000, Ramona moved the whole clan to Georgia in order to be closer to her family. Columbus, Georgia was home for 6 years continuing in the medical field at Doctors Hospital until moving to Athens, Georgia, GO Dawgs! As Mona would say. She worked at Athens Regional for 9 years making many friends along the way enjoying the many fundraisers and functions she would attend for co-workers. Ramona has a heart of gold and would feed anyone and sometimes even give them a place to stay. She loved all kinds of music including Earth, Wind, and Fire, Elton John, Foreigner, Poison, Bon Jovi, Kid Rock, The Judds, Pink, Vince Gill and many many more. Her favorite thing to do was go to the beach with her friends Baby J and Frank and loved when her youngest daughters came to visit from Washington State. Mona loved being a Mimi to her beautiful grandchildren Kacey Marie, Mia Bella Marie, Finlee Stoltz and soon to be Declan Michael, she would move mountains for those children, heaven and Earth. Ramona is not sad, for she is sipping on a pina colada in paradise with her beloved pitbull Pharoh on the vacation of a lifetime so do not weep but raise a glass for her instead. Cheers to being Forever 59 Mona we love and miss you dearly.
Due to health concerns and regulations set forth from the CDC, the family will have a Private Memorial service.
