Rachael Bond Patton

Athens, GA - Rachael Bond Patton, 74, died September 20, 2014.
A native and lifelong resident of Athens, GA, she was a daughter of the late B.T. and Alice Wynn Bond. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty four years, Thomas W. Patton, in February of 2012, and her sister, Martha Faye Wright.
Mrs. Patton was a 1958 graduate of Athens High School and retired from the University of Georgia Athletic Office, having worked there for over ten years. She was a lifelong member of East Athens Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and served on various committees over the years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 11 AM at East Athens Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Wuerzer, Rev. Ray Finger and Rev. Maurice Crowder officiating.
Interment will follow at Oconee Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory (Angela) Patton, of Crawford, and Brian Patton, of Hull; brothers, Terry Bond and Dennis (Mary) Bond, both of Athens; and two grandchildren, Allison and Ansley Patton.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
