Athens, GA - Rachael Haynes Harris, 91, died December 26, 2007.
Born on Elbert County, she was the daughter of the late David Mathis and Bertie Mae McGarity Haynes and widow of William Howard Harris, Jr. She was retired from the Athens Post Office and was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with Rev. Frank Granger officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Christy Harris of Carlton; sisters, Doris Stafford and Laurine McCorkle; brothers, James Haynes and Gardner Haynes; grandchildren, Robert William Harris, Donald William Harris, II and Regina Sue Harris and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Athens YMCA.
