Rabun Herring

Rabun Herring, 76, of Hull, died Monday, May 11, 2015.
Born in Comer, he was the son of the late Top and Lilly Mae Herring. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thurmond and Bo Herring and one sister, Jewel Bryant.
Mr. Herring will be remembered for many things, including being up every morning before the roosters and standing by his word. He was a lover of all people, a bible reader and a lover of Western movies and antique cars. His children and his grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he made each of them feel like the favorite.
Survivors include his wife, Corine Herring; five children, Pamela H. Kaminski and husband Bernie, Gregory J. Herring, Yvette H. Wood and husband Art, Dallas L. Herring and Waymond J. Herring and wife Jennifer; one brother, Rufus Herring and wife Pauline; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 1 PM at Vineyards Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Conine officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
