Rabun Lee Ginn, Sr., 82, passed away April 25, 2012. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Gregor and Dicee Ginn. He proudly served in the US Army from 1948-1950 and was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2872 in Athens. After his enlistment in the Army was completed he went on to work at the Johnson & Johnson plant of Chicopee Mills as a maintenance technician for 36 years. Rabun was also a member of Heritage Fellowship Church in Bogart and was a Retired Minister himself, serving for over 50 years. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mildred Duncan Ginn of Athens,four sons and daughters-in-law: Rabun Lee Ginn, Jr. and Pat of Winterville, Michael and Sibyl of Athens, Ray and Phyllis of Athens, Bobby and Jackie of Jefferson, as well as eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 PM till 9:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2012 and will also be at the residence of Rabun and Pat Ginn, 188 Weatherly Woods Circle, Winterville, GA. Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 26, 2012 at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Raymond Duncan, Rev. Roland Arrowood and Rev. Tim Vaughn officiating. Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. The pallbearers will be Mr. Ginn's grandsons: Scott Ginn, Allen Ginn, Ryan Ginn, Nicholas Ginn, Kevin Burns and DJ Grosso. Members of VFW Post 2872 and AmVets Post 10 will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Heritage Fellowship Building Fund. We Love You Pop.
